s=

a+b+c

=

2

12+16+20

=

48

=24cm

Using Heron's formula,

Area of a triangle=

s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)

=

(24−12)(24−16)(24−20)

=

(12)(8)(4)

=

4×3×4×3×4

=4×3×2=24sq.cm.
