the length of equal sides be X and X

base of triangle is 8 cm

area of triangle is 8√18cm^2

also area of triangle is

 \frac{1}{4} b \sqrt{4 {a}^{2} }  -  {b}^{2}

 =  \frac{1}{4} (8) \sqrt{4 {(2x)}^{2} }  -  {(8)}^{2}    = 8 \sqrt{18}   \\  = 2  \sqrt{4} (4 {x}^{2} ) - 64 = 8 \sqrt{18 }  \\ = 2 \sqrt{16 {x}^{2} }  - 64 = 8 \sqrt{18}  \\
