The area of cross section of pipe is =5.4cm^2
Speed of water =27kmph=27000/60=450m/min or 45000cm/min
Now water passes through the cross section =5.4*45000=2430000cm^3
Or 24300m^3/min
Now we know that 1m^3=1000ltr
So water release per min =24300000 ltr/min

Answer:

Water release per min is 24300000 L/min.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The area of cross section of a pipe is 5.4 cm² and water is pumped out of it at the rate of 27 km/h .

To Find : In liters the volume of water which flows out of the pipe in one minute ?

Solution :

The area of cross section of pipe is = 5.4 cm²

Speed of water =27 km/h

Converting km/h into cm/min,

27\ km/hr=\frac{27000}{60}\ m/min=450\ m/min

27\ km/hr=45000\ cm/min

Now water passes through the cross section is given by,

W=5.4\times 45000=2430000\ cm^3/min

W=24300\ m^3/min

We know that,  1\ m^3=1000\ L

Water release per min is 24300000 L/min.
