We know that pressure remains same if the heights are same
A1 = 0.01 sq m
A2 = 1 sq m
F2 = 4000 N
P1 = P2
F1 / A1 = F2 / A2
F1 / 0.01 = 4000 / 1
F1 = 4000 × 0.01
F1 = 40 N
( B ) 40 N is the correct answer.
