Answer:

perimeter of square = 120

therefore side of the square = 120/4 = 30

area of square = 30×30

= area of parallelogram

30×30 = height × base

30×30 = 20× base

base= 30×30/20

= 45 units.

Given:

  • Area of Parallelogram = Area of square = 120 m²
  • Height of Parallelogram = 20 m

Need to find:

  • Corresponding base of Parallelogram?

Solution:

According to the Question:

Area of Parallelogram = Area of square

So, Let the side of square be a.

Perimeter of square = 120 cm

⇒ 4a = 120

⇒ a = 120/4

⇒ a = 30 cm

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

★ Now, Finding area of square,

We know that,

Area of square = side × side

⇒ a × a

⇒ 30 × 30

900 cm³

Also,

Area of Parallelogram = base × height

⇒ 20 × base = 900

⇒ base = 900/20

⇒ base = 45 cm

Hence, the corresponding base of parallelogram is 45 cm.
