hiii!!!
here's Ur answer...
given that the length of the rectangle is 3times that of it's breadth.
let the breadth of the rectangle be x.
therefore length of the rectangle is = 3x
area of the rectangle is given = 12m²
therefore l × b = 12m²
==> 3x × x = 12m²
==> 3x² = 12m²
==> x² = 12/3
==> x² = 4
==> x = √4
==> x = 2
hence, breadth of the rectangle = x = 2m
length of the rectangle = 3x = 3 × 2 = 6m
now, perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( l + b )
= 2 ( 2 + 6 )
= 2 × 8
= 16m
hope this helps..!!

Let breadth be x m and length be 3x cm,
Given that area is 12 m²
Length × breadth = 12
x × (3x) = 12
3x² = 12
x² = 12÷3
x = ±√4
x = 2 [ taking +ve value]
××××××××××××××××××××
Breadth = x = 2 cm
Length = 3x = 3(2) = 6
I hope this will help you
