Area of rectangle = Length × breadth

Given,

120 = 15 × Breadth

120/15 = breadth

8m = breadth

Perimeter of rectangle =2(length +breadth)
______________

Perimeter = 2(15 + 8)

Perimeter = 2 × 23

Perimeter = 46 m

i hope this will help you

Heya Friend!

Its me Sheena here...

Area is the space occupied by a closed figure.

So as you know that there is a formula for the area of rectangle...

Lets recall!

Area of Rectangle = length * Breadth

Friend Lets take the value of Breadth as 'x' and lets substitute it in this Formula.

Area of Rectangular Field = Length * Breadth

120= 15 * x
120/15=x
8=x

Therefore, Value of x i.e breadth is 8

To check if your answer is correct then.

Put the value of Breadth and length in the formula and check if you get the area 120 square meter.

Area of Rectangle  = Length * Breadth
= 15*8
=120 square meter.

So this shows that the answer is correct :)
The Breadth is 8 meter.

---------------------
Now friend A rectangle has a formula for finding its area,same way it has a formula for finding its perimeter.

Perimeter is very easy...
In simple words we can say the length of the boundary of the closed figure.

So the formula of Perimeter of the rectangle....

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(Length+Breadth)

Now substitute.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length+Breadth)
=2*(15+8)
=2*23
= 46

So the perimeter is 46 meter.
--------------------------

Points to Remember =>

=> We put square meter/kilometer/centimeter (which will be given in the question) to the answer when we find area of any figure.

=> We keep the measurement as centimeter/kilometer/meter as it is when we find only the perimeter of the figure.
______________

Hope this helps..
