Answer: 5 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Area = 48 m²

one side is 6 m

so the other side is 48/6=8m

We need to find the length of the diagonal

Since the diagonal and two adjascent sides for a right angles triangle,

diagonal²=side1²+side2²

=6²+8²=36+64=100

so length of the diagonal is 100m

So at the rate of 20m per minute, one can cross the field in 100/20 = 5 minutes

shameemamk: so diagonal is 10 m
shameemamk: 20 meter in one minute means 10 meter in 1/2 minute which is 30 second
shameemamk: hope you got it
harshitbohra40: which formula you have taken
shameemamk: you mean for finding the diagonal?
shameemamk: pythagorus theorem
shameemamk: just draw a picture and see, you will understand it faster
harshitbohra40: oh thanks for your answer
harshitbohra40: Now I understand
shameemamk: you're welcome
