Given :

  • Area of Rhombus - 120 cm²

  • Diagonal - 8 cm ( d1 )

To Find :

  • Other Diagonal - ?

Formula To Find :

Area Of Rhombus = 1 / 2 × d1 × d2

where ,

  • d1 and d2 are diagonals of Rhombus

Solution :

The d2 is unknown ,

⟶ Area of Rhombus = 120

⟶ 1 / 2 × d1 × d2 = 120

⟶ 1 / 2 × 8 × d2 = 120

⟶ 4 × d2 = 120

⟶ d2 = 120 / 4

⟶ d2 = 30

∴ The Other Diagonal - 30 cm

Let's Verify :

⟶ 1 / 2 × d1 × d2 = 120

⟶ 1 / 2 × 8 × 30 = 120

⟶ 1 / 2 × 240 = 120

⟶ 120 = 120

LHS = RHS

Thus Solved !!

Formula To Find Area :

  • Circle = πr²

r = radius of the circle

  • Triangle = ½ × b × h

b = base , h = height

  • Square = a²

a = length of side

  • Rectangle = l × b

l = length , w = width

  • Parallelogram = b × h

b = base , h = height

  • Trapezium = 1 / 2 × ( a + b ) × h

a and b = parallel sides , h = height
