Answer:

Other diagonal = 30 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

Area of rhombus (A) = 240 cm²

One of the diagonal (p) = 16 cm

To find -

The other diagonal (q)

Solution -

We know that area of rhombus = pq/2

so

240 cm² = pq/2

=> 240 cm² = 16cm×q /2

=> 240 cm² × 2 = 16 cm × q

=> 480 cm² = 16 cm × q

=> 480 cm² ÷ 16 cm = q

=> 30 cm = q

=> q = 30 cm

Hence other diagonal = 30 cm.

hope it helps.

Given :

  • Area of a Rhombus is 240 cm²
  • One of the diagonal is 16 cm.

To Find :

  • Other diagonal ?

Formula used :

  • Area of Rhombus = 1/2 × d₁ × d₂

Now,

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ240 = 1/2 × 16 × d₂

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ240 = 8 × d₂

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ240/8 = d₂

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ30 = d₂

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ∴ Other diagonal is 30 cm.

Some formulas to be remembered :

  • Area of Rectangle is L × B

  • Area of Square is (Side)²

  • Area of Circle is πr²

  • Area of Triangle is 1/2 × b × h or √s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

  • Area of Parallelogram is B × H

  • Area of Trapezium is 1/2 × h (a + b)

  • Area of Rhombus is 1/2 × d₁ × d₂
