The area of rhombus is 96 sq.m. If its perimeter is 32 m, find its altitude.

║⊕ANSWER⊕║

GIVEN

Perimeter of the rhombus = 32 m

All the sides of a rhombus are equal.

Each side of rhombus = Perimeter/4

                                       = 32/4

                                       = 8 m

Area of a rhombus is the product of its altitude and base.

According to the question.

Area = Altitude × Base

96    = A × 8

8 A = 96

A = 96/8

Altitude = 12 m
