as we know that .....
area of ring = $\pi( {R}^{2} - {r)}^{2}$
so ,
area of ring = 22/7 ( (17)^2 - (10)^2)
area of ring = 22/7 ( 289- 100)
area of ring = 22/7 × 189
area of ring = 22 × 27
area of ring = 594 cm^2
