Given :

The area of a circular field is 6.7914 hectares. and the cost of fencing 2.20 Rs. per meter.

To Find :

The total cost of fencing the field.

Solution :

Area of the circular field = 6.7914 hectares

∵ 1 hectare = 10,000 sq. meter

∴ 6.7914 hectare = 6.7914 × 10,000

                            = 67914 meter²

So, the area of the field = 67914 sq. meter

To find the radius of the field we will use the formula,

$Area=\pi r^2$

r = radius

$\pi r^2=67914$

$r^2=\frac{22}{7}\times 67914$

$r=\sqrt{\frac{7}{22}\times 67914 }$

r = $\sqrt{21609}$

r = 147 meter

To find circumference of the circular field, we will use the formula

$C=2\pi r$

   = $2\times \frac{22}{7}\times 147$

   = 923.81 ≈ 924 meter

Cost of fencing for 1 meter = 2.20 Rs.

Cost of fencing for 924 meter = 924 × 2.20

                                                  = 2032.80 Rs.

The cost of fencing of the field is 2032.80 Rs.
