Solution -

Area of square = Side × Side

= (16 × 16) cm²

= 256 cm²

According to Question,

Area of sq. = Area of rec.

Let the breadth be x cm

According to Question,

(length × breadth) = 256 cm²

⇒ (32 × x) = 256

⇒ x = 256/32

⇒ x = 8

∴ Breadth = x cm = 8 cm
