Easy

Perimeter of square = 4(side)

140 = 4(a)

140 ÷4= a

a= 35

Side =35

Now area = a×a

= 35×35

= 1225 sq. Units

Therefore area of square is 1225 sq units

Hope this helps you

Answer:

1225unit²

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter = sum of 4 sides

let 1 side of square be x

therefore,

perimeter = x+x+x+x   [all sides of square are equal]

140unit=4x   [perimeter =140 given]

140/4=x

35=x

now area of square = side*side

so,

area=x*x

      = 35*35

      =1225

hence area of square is 1225unit².
