Hey..
Here is your answer.

Actually bond theory represents the bond energy or we can say bond enthalpy that is the amount of energy required to break a bond between two atoms in a di-atomic molecule or amount of energy released when two atoms unite together with a covalent bond.

》》》Factors attesting bond energy:-

●BOND LENGTH:
Shorter the bond length, greater is the bond energy and hence bond length is inversly proportional to bond energy.

●IONIC CHARACTER:
Greater the ionic character, greater is the bond energy and hence ionic character is directly proportiinal to bond energy.

●MULTIPLE BOND:
Multiple bonds have short length, therefore, they have high bond energy.

Hope it helps.
Have a good day.

The Valence Bond (VB) Theory was developed to use quantum mechanics and to clarify chemical bonding. The Molecular Orbital (MO) Theory and the Valence Bond Theory form the two basic theories in chemistry.

The main focus of Valence Bond Theory is on atomic orbitals of dissociated atoms, which give the individual chemical bonds during formation of a molecule.

The Theory was first proposed in 1916 by Gilbert Newton Lewis, an American Physical Chemist. In the later years, the Theory went through some changes until Linus Carl Pauling, another American Chemist put these together to develop the key concepts of Valence Bond Theory – resonance and orbital hybridisation.
