area of the base of a cylinder = 216 cm

since the base of a cylinder is a circle.

so

\pi {r}^{2}  = 216 {cm}^{2}

and height is 0.5

volume of the cylinder=

 = (\pi {r}^{2}) h \\  = 216 {cm}^{2}  \times 0.5cm \\  = 108 {cm}^{3}
