The area of the base of a right circular cylinder is 15400cm2 and its volume is 92400cm3. Find the area of the curved surface.​

Area of a base of cylinder =

By the Area of base of cylinder we can calculate the radius which comes out to be

r =  \sqrt{15400 \div \pi }  \\ r =   \sqrt{4900}  \\ r = 70cm

Radius of Cylinder = 70cm

Now

if we divide Volume of the cylinder by Area of base of the cylinder we will get the length of the cylinder.

92400 ÷ 15400 = 6

6 cm is the length of the cylinder

l = 6cm

now

Curved surface area of the cylinder =

2\pi rl

2 × (22 ÷7) × 70 × 6 = 2640cm²
