Area of the shaded region = 3/4 × (πr^2) = ( 3 πr^2 / 4 ) sq.units

Explanation =>

Total angle of a circle = 360 degrees

Unshaded sector in the circle = 90 degrees

Shaded sector in the circle = 270 degrees

Area of the sector when its angle is 360° = πr^2 [area of a circle]

Area of the sector when its angle is 270° = 270/360 × πr^2 = 3/4 × (πr^2).

Hope this helps you friend...
