Given :-

  • In trapezium, the parallel sides are measuring 8 cm and 10 cm and the height 5 cm.

To find :-

  • Area of trapezium

Solution :-

  • Length of parallel sides = 8cm and 10cm

  • Height of trapezium = 5cm

As we know that

→ Area of trapezium = ½ × (a + b) × h

Where " (a + b) " is sum of parallel sides and " h " is distance between parallel sides.

According to question

→ Area of trapezium

→ ½ × sum of parallel sides × height

→ ½ × (8 + 10) × 5

→ ½ × 18 × 5

→ 9 × 5

→ 45cm²

Hence,

  • Area of trapezium is 45cm²

Given ,

  • The parrallel sides of trapezium are 8 cm and 10 cm

  • The Height of trapezium is 5 cm

We know that , the area of trapezium is given by

 \boxed{ \tt{Area =  \frac{1}{2}   \times (sum \: of \: parrallel  \: sides) \times height}}

Thus ,

Area = 1/2 × (8 + 10) × 5

Area = 1/2 × 18 × 5

Area = 9 × 5

Area = 45 cm²

Therefore , the area of trapezium is 45 cm²
