Area of trapezium

A = (1/2) * sum of ∥ sides * height

A = (1/2)* ( a + b ) * h

A = 15.4 m²

a = 2b - 5 , h = 1.4 m

15.4 = (1/2) * ( 2b - 5 + b ) * 1.4

30.8 = (3b - 5 ) * 1.4

308/14 = 3b - 5

22 + 5 = 3b

b = 9 m , a = 2b - 5 = 18 -5 = 13

Length of ∥ sides = 9m and 13m
