Step-by-step explanation:

let the two sides be x and y

According to question,

x - y = 9

x = 9 + y

Area of trapezium

 \frac{1}{2}(x + y)15

171 =  \frac{1}{2}(9 + y + y)15

342 = (9 + 2y)15

135 + 30y = 342

30y = 207

\color{green}y =  \frac{207}{30} = 6.9m

\color{blue}x = 9 - 6.9 = 2.1m
