the area of trapezium is 210 cm'2 and its height is 14 cm if one of the parallel side is double that of the Other find the two parallel sides

Let one Parallel side be x cm

So, the other Parallel side be 2x cm

Acccording to Question,

Area of Trapezium = 210 cm²

⇒ 1 / 2 × (x + 2x) × 14 = 210

⇒ 14 / 2 × 3x = 210

⇒ 3x = 210 × 2 / 14

⇒ 3x = 15 × 2 = 30

⇒ x = 30 / 3

⇒ x = 10

One side = x = 10 cm

Another side = 2x = 2 × 10 = 20 cm

Hence, the parallel sides are 10 cm and 20 cm.
