the area of trapezium is 34cm square and the length of one of the parallel side is 10cm and its height is 4 cm find the length of the other parallel side .

Area of trapezium = a+b/2 x h where a and be are the 2 parallel sides.

So we get

34=10+b/2 x 4
34x2/4 -10 = b
b = 17-10
= 7cm

Hence the length of the other parallel side is 7 cm!
