39
area of trapezium = 39 cm sq
height of trpezium = 6 cm
one || side = 5 cm
let other be x

area of trapezium = 1/2 × ( sum of || sides) × h
39 = 1/2 × ( 5+x) × 6
39×2 = (5+x) × 6
78/6 = 5+x
13-5 = x
8 = x
x = 8cm

hope it helped

malikjaveed51: Area of trapezium is 1\2 ×(sum of two sides)
malikjaveed51: ×h
geetika3: 1/2 ×( sum of parallel sides)× height
geetika3: so what i have written ? i have also written the same
geetika3: || sign is parallel sign
malikjaveed51: 39=1\2×(5+x)×6.......78\6=5+x.....x=13-5 .....Therefore x=8cm
geetika3: if you know the answer so answer it why are you typing all tgis in comments
geetika3: this*

Answer:

if they gave one of parallel side is 8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

area = a+b/2×h

39=8+x/2×6

13=8+x×3

13/3=8+x

x=13-8

x=5 cm
