Area =1/2h × sum of paralles sides

=) 1/2×19×(2x+4)

9.5(2x+4)=475

2x+4=50

2x=46

X=23

In area of trapezium is 475 cm square, the smaller side is 23 cm and other side is 27 cm.

Solution:

Area of trapezium = 475 cm square

In trapezium height remains same which rest in between 2 parallel lines of different length. Different length because if length remains same then the figure will convert into square or rectangle.

Height of trapezium = 19 cm

One side of figure = 4 cm greater than other one.

Area of trapezium = \frac{x+x+4}{2} 19

\begin{array}{l}{45=\frac{x+x+4}{2} \times 19} \\ \\{\frac{475}{19} \times 2=2 x+4} \\ \\{50=2 x+4} \\ \\{46=2 x} \\ \\ \bold{{23=x}\end{array}}

Smaller side is 23 cm.
