Hey there !!

Answer:

→ 3m and 5m .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

→ Area of trapezium = 12m² .

→ Altitude ( height) = 3m .

→ One of the parallel side is 2m more than the other than other parallel side  .

To find :-

→ Length of parallel sides of trapezium .

Solution :-

Let one of the parallel side be x .

Then , other side will be x + 2 .

We know that :-

∵ Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( sum of parallel sides ) × ( Distance between parallel side ) .

⇒ Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( b₁ + b₂ ) × ( h ) .

⇒ 12 = 1/2 ( ( x + 2) + x ) × 3 .

⇒ 12 × 2 = ( 2x + 2 ) × 3 .

⇒ 24/3 = 2x + 2 .

⇒ 8 - 2 = 2x .

⇒ 2x = 6 .

⇒ x = 6/2 .

∴ x = 3 m .

Hence, length of parallel sides of trapezium is 3m and 5m .
