Given :-

  • Shape = Trapezium
  • Area of Trapezium = 480m²
  • Height of Trapezium = 15m
  • One of the Parallel Side = 20m

To Find :-

  • Second Parallel Side

Solution :-

➞ Area = ½ × Height × Sum of parallel sides

➞ 480 = ½ × 15 × ( 20 + Side )

➞ 480 × 2 = 15 × ( 20 + Side )

➞ 960 = 15 × ( 20 + Side )

➞ 960 / 15 = 20 + Side

➞ 64 = 20 + Side

➞ 64 - 20 = Side

➞ 44m = Side

________________

Therefore, Second Parallel Side of the Trapezium = 44m

Step-by-step explanation:

area of trapezium = 1/2 *h* ( a + b ) parallel sides

1/2 * 15 *( 20 + b ) = 480

1/2 * 300 + 15b = 480

300 + 15b = 480*2

15b = 960 - 300

15b = 660

b = 660/15

b = 44 metre
