the area of trapeziumis 225 cm square and height is 25cm.one of the parallel sides is longer than the other by 10 cm. find the two paralled sides.​

225=1/2*25(x+x+10)

225*2/25=2x+10

18-10=2x

8/2=x

x=4

x+10=14

let one parallel side be x cm.

and another parallel side be x+10 cm.

area =1)/2×sum of parallel sides×height

225sq.cm=1/2×(x+x+10)cm×25cm

225sq.cm=1/2×2(x+5)cm×25cm

225/25cm=x+5 cm

9cm=x+5cm

x=4cm.

parallel sides are 4cm and 14cm.
