Here,
X1 = 1 , Y1 = -1 , X2 = -4 , Y2 = 6 and X3 = -3 ,Y3 = -5
Therefore,
Area of triangle (ABC) = 1/2 [ X1(Y2-Y3) + X2(Y3-Y1) + X3(Y1-Y2)
=> 1/2 [ 1 ( 6 - (-5) + (-4) ( -3 - (-1) + (-3) ( -1-6)
=> 1/2 [ 1 ( 6 +5) - 4 ( -3 + 1) - 3 ( -7) ]
=> 1/2 × [ 11 -4( -2) +21]
=> 1/2 × ( 11 +8 +21)
=> 1/2 × 40
=> 20 square unit.
