the area of two similar triangle ABC and DEF are 256 cm square and 144 cm Sq respectively if the longest side of the larger triangle ABC be 32 , find the longest side of the smaller triangle ​

Let the longest side of the triangle be x

By using theorem

32^2/x^2 = 256/144

32^2 × 144 / 256 = x^2

576 = x^2

24 = x

Hence the longest side of the smaller triangle is 24 cm.
