l and b be the length and Breadth of the rectangle

l=12+x

b=x-8

It is given that, area of square = area of rectangle

ie, x²=lb

x²=(12+x)(x-8)

x²=12x+x²-96-8x

x²=4x+x²-96

4x=96

x=96/4

x=24

Therefore l=12+24=36 m

b=24-8=16 m

Perimeter =2(l+b)

=2(36+16)

=2×52

=104 m
