Maximum Length of 165 metre Square Garden =

165/3=55m

Maximum Length of 195 metre

Square Garden =

195/3=65m

Maximum Length of 285 metre

Square Garden =

285/3=95m

So the answers are=55m,65m and 95m respectively

The lengths of each bed are 55 m, 65 m, 95 m.

Explanation:

Given : The areas of three fields are 165 m², 195m² and 285m²respectively. From these, flower beds of equal size are to be made. If the breadth of each bed be 3m.

To find : What will be the maximum length of each bed?

Solution :

The area of the field is given by,

\text{Area}=\text{Length}\times \text{Breadth}

Area of one field is A_1=165\ m^2

Breadth B=3 m

The length is given by,

L_1=\frac{A_1}{B}

L_1=\frac{165}{3}

L_1=55\ m

Area of second field is A_2=195\ m^2

Breadth B=3 m

The length is given by,

L_2=\frac{A_2}{B}

L_2=\frac{195}{3}

L_2=65\ m

Area of third field is A_3=285\ m^2

Breadth B=3 m

The length is given by,

L_3=\frac{A_3}{B}

L_3=\frac{285}{3}

L_3=95\ m

Therefore, the lengths of each bed are 55 m, 65 m, 95 m.
