The areas of three flats A,B and C are in the ratio 5:6:8 respectively . If the difference in the area of the flat C and flat A is 270 square metres , what is the area of flat B in square metres?​

let the ratio be 5x,6x,and 8x.

so the difference between 5x and 8x is 270

so we can write ,

5x-8x=270

3x= 270

x=270÷3

x=90
