The areas of three flats A, B and C are in the
ratio 5:6 : 8 respectively. If the difference in
the area of flat C and flat A is 270 square metres,
what is the area of flat B in square metres ?​

Answer:

let the area of the three flats are

5x sq m

6x sq m

8x sq m

so,

8x-5x=270

=> 3x=270

=> x=270/3

=> x=90

area of the flat B is

6x sq m=6×90sq m=540 sq m
