Solution -

We know that for two numbers , a and b in Arithmetic Progression ,

Arithmetic Mean = [ a + b ] / 2

Here,

Substituting the required values -

Arithmetic Mean = [ 15 + 17 ] / 2

=> [ 32/ 2 ]

=> 16

Hence the arithmetic mean if the two numbers is 16 .

So, the answer becomes -
