Number N does not contain the digit 0.

Solution:

The arithmetic mean also means average therefore the average of 9 digits that is from 9,99,999......999999999

The formula to find out the arithmetic mean or average of the numbers is

 \bold{A=\frac{1}{n} \times \sum_{i=1}^{n} x_{i}}

n = Number of the terms in the series = 9

x = term to be averaged

i = 1, 2, 3……..

A is the arithmetic mean of the series.

Putting the values in A=\frac{1}{n} \times \sum_{i=1}^{n} x_{i}

Now as for the sum of 9, 99, 999......999999999 we can find the sum by using,

9 (1 + 11 + 111 + ………… + 111111111) = 9(123456789).

Therefore, Average number N=\frac{9(123456789)}{9}= 123456789

After finding the average we get the value 123456789 from which we can say that the number does not contain any 0 therefore the digit not present in the value of N is zero, i.e. OPTION A.
