Asian Elephant :-

• The elephant is one of the animals that lives on the forest floor.

• Asian Elephants have large ears with a keen sense of hearing , the large ears also help them to lose heat from the body to keep themselves cool.

• Asian Elephant feed on large amount of food .

• Their upper lip is fused with a nose and is modified in the form of a long trunk , which is used for breathing , feeding , smelling , drinking and defense .

• They have a unique foot structure which helps them to walk over uneven surfaces and swampy ground.

• Adult Asian Elephant modified teeth called tusks. They use them to tear the bark of trees which is their favourite food.
