The atom of an element has 9p+  9e- and 10n0 .a. What is the atomic no. of the element? b. What is the mass no. of the element? c. Name the element and give electronic configuration. d. Predict the valency of the element.

Ans: The element has 9 - electrons and 9 - protons.

So the atomic number of the element is =9(The element is Fluorine)

It has 9 protons and 10 neutrons.

So, its mass number will be 9+10=19

Mass number = 19

It has one electron shorter than nearest noble gas. Its valency is 1.
