the atomic number of carbon is 6. wat would be the distrubution of electrons in various shells for carbon? how many valence electrons will carbon have?

Electronic configuration of carbon = 2,4
It has 2 electrons in K shell
and 4 electrons in L shell

It has 4 electrons in its outermost shell or 4 valence electrons


And carbon has certain quality
that is 1. catenation 2. tetravalency....

carbon is a compund with atomic no 6 .so it eletonic configuration is 2,4. and it form covalent bond and valence electron are 4
