Average ages of the husband,wife,child was 27 years 3yrs ago
=>[(h-3)+(w-3)+(c-3)]/3=27
=>h+w+c=90  ........1

5 years ago average of wife and child's age = 20years
=> [(w-5)+(c-5)]/2 = 20
=>w+c=50 ........2

Solving 1 and 2,we get;
(h+w+c)-(w+c)=40.
=> h=40 years
