hi

Let C.P of one article =1 Rs.

Then C.P of 40 article=40 Rs.

According to the question

S.P of 50 article =C.P of 40 article=40 Rs.

We assume that C.P of one article =1Rs.

then C.P of 50 article=50 Rs.

Loss=50-40=10 Rs.

Loss %=

50

10

Answer:

The new Average is 58

Step-by-step explanation:

14 article average = 57

Total price of 14 Article = 57 × 14 = 798

2 returned pricing 66 and 51

Therefore 798 - 66 - 51 = 681

So Total of 12 Article = 681

Now 3 article purchased of average 63 per unit

Total of 3 article = 63 × 3 = 189

Now New Average = Sum of all article / total article

= (681 + 189) / 12 + 3

= 870 / 15

New Average = 58
