\textbf{Answer}

The average expenditure of Rahul for the months January to June is Rs 4200.

Total number of months from January to June is 6.

=> Total expenditure of Rahul for January to June = 6 × 4200 = Rs 25200

Since Rahul spent Rs 1200 in January,

=>Total expenditure of Rahul for the month February to June = 25200 - 1200 = Rs 24000

Since Rahul spent Rs 1500 in the month of July,

=> Total expenditure of Rahul for the months February to July = 24000 + 1500 = Rs 25500

Since total number of months from February to July is 6.

=> Average expenditure for the months February to July = 25500/6 = Rs 4250

So the average expenditure for the months February to July is Rs 4250

Answer: 4250

Total Expenditure(Jan – June) = 4200 * 6 = 25200

Total Expenditure(Feb – June) = 25200 – 1200 = 24000

Total Expenditure(Feb – July) = 24000 + 1500

=25500

The average expenditure (Feb-July) is = 25500/6 = 4250
