Step-by-step explanation:

the average height before the leaving of a player was 181cm

but after his leave a new player was added and thus there was rise in 1.5cm

Now, the average is 182.5cm

this increased due to new player

thus, new player was taller

as the height of one player 179 then,

the other player was 182.5- 179= 3.5 cm tall

THUS, THE NEW PLAYER IS TALLER THAN THE LEAVING ONE

AND THE HEIGHT OF OTHER PLAYER IS 3.5CM TALLER.

Answer:

186.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

5 players' average = 181 cm

Total of height = 181*5 = 905 cm

After the change, the average

  • 181 +1.5= 182.5 cm

New joiner is taller as his height affected the average by increase.

If the one who left was 179 cm tall, then

Height total of 4 players changed:

  • 905 - 179 = 726 cm

Since new average was 182.5 cm, the new total

  • 182.5*5 = 912.5 cm

The difference of the two totals:

  • 912.5 - 726 = 186.5 cm is the height of the new player
