The average maximum temperature of Delhi recorded on three consecutive days in the month of November was 20 degree celcius, if the maximum temperature on the first and third day was 18 degree celcius and 20 degree celcius, find the temperature on the second day.

temperature of day 1 = 18°c

temperature of day 2 = x°c

temperature of day 3 = 20°c

the difference between day 1 and 3 is 2

so, day1 = 18

    day2 = average + 2 (22)

    day3 = 20

therefore day 2 = 22
