The average of 3 fractions - average of first 2 fractions = the value of third fraction

Procedure = 4 - 8/9
=36/9 - 8/9
= 28/9

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the three fractions be x, y and z

Give that,

(x+y+z)/3=4

So,x+y+z=4*3=12

Again,

(x+y)/2=8/9

So,x+y=16/9

So, third fraction =sum of 3 fractions - sum of first 2 fractions

y=12-16/9=92/9

Answer is 92/9
