The average of 5 terms is 56. If the first 4 terms are 35, 62, 19, and 121, what will be the last term?​

Let's assume the last term be x

We know

Average=Sum of all observation÷Number of Observation

Here

Number of observation=5

Sum of all Observation= 35+62+19+121+x=237+x

Therefore

Substituting the values

 \frac{237 + x}{5}  = 56 \\ 237 + x = 56 \times 5 = 280 \\ x = 280 - 237 \\ x = 43

Therefore the 5th number is 43
