Let the Sonu played X inning before this inning

Then his total runs= 16*X

Sonu total run after the 22 runs innings = 16*X + 22

Total innings = X+1

Now,

Average After 22 runs ininng = (16*C+22)/X+1

And we know his average is now 17

Then,

(16*X+22)/(X+1) = 17

Now,

16*X+22= 17X+17

We get,

X = 5

So,

Total run before this ininng = 16*5= 80

For AVG 20 total runs after 6 ininng should be 6*20= 120

Runs require in last ininng = 120 -80 = 40 runs

If he will make 40 runs instead of 22 runs his average will be up to 20.
