Given :

Boltzmann constant , K_b=1.38\times 10^{-23}\ J/K .

To Find :

The average translational kinetic energy of hydrogen gas molecules at NTP.

Solution :

We know , average  translational kinetic energy is given by :

K.E_{avg}=\dfrac{3}{2}k_bT  ....( 1 )

We know , Temperature at NTP is given by 293 K .

Putting value of K_b and T in above equation .

We get :

K.E_{avg}=\dfrac{3}{2}\times 1.38\times 10^{-23}\times 293\\\\K.E_{avg}=6.06\times 10^{-21}\ J
