the average of p no. is q
so the sum of p no. = p*q
now a is replaced by a'
so we have to substract a from sum of p no. and add a' and it will equal to q' ...........given
and in this transaction no. of total numbers will be Same ....I e.= p
so (p*q-a+a')/p=q'
this is the relation between those numbers is
(p*q-a+a')/p= q'
